| canned pineapples: 15.25 oz |
| light brown sugar (packed): 1 Tbl |
| cornstarch: 1 tsp |
| balsamic vinegar: 1 Tbl |
| soy sauce: 1 Tbl |
| soup - bean with frankfurters: 1 cup |
| green bell pepper: 1 (cut into 1 inch pieces) |
| canned waterchestnuts (sliced): 2 cups (OPTIONAL) |

Drain pineapple, reserving juice.
In saucepan mix brown sugar and cornstarch.
Slowly add reserved juice, vinegar, and soy; cook and stir till thick and bubbly.
Cook and stir 1 to 2 minutes more.
On short skewers thread pineapple chunks, franks, pepper squares, and water chestnuts, if desired.
Place on rack in broiler pan; broil 4 to 5 inches from the heat 8 to 10 minutes.
Turn once and baste with soy mixture.
Heat remaining sauce for dipping.
