| pretzels: 8 oz (crushed and enough to measure 2 cups) |
| unsalted butter: 1 1/2 sticks (melted) |
| granulated sugar: 1/4 cup |
| cream cheese: 8 oz (softened) |
| granulated sugar: 1 cup |
| frozen whipped topping: 1 1/2 cups (such as Cool Whip) |
| Jell-O gelatin (strawberry): 6 oz |
| pineapple juice: 2 cups (HOT!) |
| sweetened frozen sliced strawberries: 1 lb (up to 20 oz. - partially thawed) |
Crunchy bottom, cream cheese filling, fruit jello topping
Bottom Layer. Mix together pretzels, butter, and sugar. Press into 9X12” pan and bake 10 minutes @ 350’. Allow to cool.
Middle Layer. Blend together cream cheese, sugar, Cool Whip. Spread over the Bottom Layer to the edges of the pan. Refrigerate until the cream cheese firms up a little.
Top Layer. Mix together Jell-O and hot juice until dissolved. Stir in strawberries. Refrigerate until partially jelled and pour over the Middle Layer.
Raspberry jello and frozen raspberries are a good substitute for the strawberry.
