| powdered sugar (sifted): 1 cup |
| sweetened baking chocolate squares: 4 oz (use SEMI-SWEET baking chocolate) |
| salted butter: 1/2 cup |
| Kahlua: 1 Tbl (or red wine) |
| vanilla extract: 1 tsp |
| eggs: 2 |
| eggs: 1 (use the yolk and discard the white) |
| all-purpose flour (unsifted): 6 Tbl |
| ground cinnamon: 1/4 tsp |
| ground ginger: 1/4 tsp |
| ground cloves: 1/4 tsp |
Hot chocolate sauce forms in the middle of these individual chocolate cakes while they are baking.
MICROWAVE chocolate and butter in large microwavable bowl on HIGH for 1 minute or until butter is melted. Stir with wire whisk until chocolate is completely melted. Stir in Kahlua, vanilla and sugar until well blended. Stir in eggs and yolk. Stir in flour and spices.
Pour batter evenly into 4 (6-ounce) buttered custard cups or soufflé dishes. Place on baking sheet.
BAKE in pre-heated 425 degree oven 13 to 15 minutes or until sides are firm but centers are soft. Let stand 1 minute. Carefully loosen edges with knife. Invert onto plates. Sprinkle with additional pwd sugar. Serve immediately.
