| German chocolate cake mix: 18.25 oz (1 package) |
| cherry pie filling: 21 oz (1 can) |
| almond extract: 1 tsp |
| eggs: 2 (beaten) |
| granulated sugar: 1 cup |
| unsalted butter: 5 Tbl |
| 2% milk: 1/3 cup |
| semisweet chocolate chips: 6 oz (1 package) |
chocolate brownies with cherries
Cake: Spray 15x10" jelly roll pan with Pam. Mix cake mix, cherry pie filling, almond extract, and eggs into batter and pour into pan. Bake 20-30 minutes at 350 degrees.
Frosting: In a small saucepan, combine sugar, butter, milk and bring to boil and stir constantly for one minute. Remove from heat, stir in 6oz package of semi-sweet chocolate chips until smooth. Pour over bars.
