| unflavored gelatin: 6 oz (Jello (lemon, peach, orange)) |
| salt: 1/2 tsp |
| water: 2 cups (boiling) |
| water: 1 1/2 cups (cold) |
| distilled vinegar: 4 tsp (clear, not brown) |
| celery (chopped): 1 cup (finely diced) |
| grapes: 1/2 cup (halved, red grapes) |
| whole apples (chopped): 2 cups (red apples) |
| walnuts (chopped): 1/2 cup |
| regular mayonnaise: 1/4 cup |
the Jello version!
Dissolve Jello and salt in boiling water. Add cold water and vinegar. Chill until very thick.
Fold in celery, apples, grapes, walnuts, and mayo.
Pour into individual bowls or 2-qt dish.
Chill until firm.
